Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday

Here is my card for the Project Tuesday at Stamps and Smiles! This was the first time I had tried this pop up card....it turned out to be very simple to make and turned into a cute card!

I have been just beginning to use digi stamps and digi paper! I am really loving this experience of using different mediums in my card making.

This is the digi stamp from Modern Sugar Blvd, and the DT is from the DigiChicks site. I put a little glitter on the cake, but I don't think you can see that very well in the picture. I really need to work on my photo taking! I can't seem to find a good place to take a photo..always seems so dark.

I really liked how it turned out! Let me know what you think.

The Recipe:
Stamps: Digi stamp from Modern Sugar Blvd, PTI Handwritten sentiments
paper: PTI vintage cream, DT digi paper from DigiChicks site
Ribbon: PTI vintage cream
Misc: Copics, buttons, flower roses, SU oval punch, SU Scallop punch, large eyelet

Stamps and Smiles Sketch 12 and Modern Sugar Blvd digi challenge

I decided I just had to use the digi image from Modern Sugar Blvd on this Sketch challenge from Stamps and Smiles. I wasn't sure about using a digi image, as I haven't tried one before, but I really liked it. I am able to adjust the image to any size I want to fit the card I am working on. If you haven't tried a digi image, give it a go! Modern Sugar Blvd http://modernsugarblvd.blogspot.com/ has this image free for you to try!

I colored her with my Copics and designed my own backround paper using PTI stamps! I think this has a fresh and fun feel to the card!

Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking!

Project Tuesday at Stamps and Smiles

Ok, this is the cutiest little bag I have ever made! It was sooo easy to make and really was fun to embellish. I wanted to make a little boy bag, something one of my grandsons could put a gift card in and maybe some candy and give as a birthday gift to one of their little friends.

Seems like I make girly things all the time, so I had fun with this one! Thanks Stamps and Smiles for this new Project Tuesday, it will give me an opportunity to stretch myself a little more in the project area.

Thanks for looking!

My Timeless Template Challenge 01

I finished my first template challenge! I love this idea, I will have gifts ready in no time doing this once a month! The challenge was to use one of Lauren' s Timeless Templates, that you can purchase at Papertrey Ink, and use the bath products for inspiration for creating the packaging.

So off to Bath and Body I go....I found the most wonderful new scent..Butterfly Flower. It smells so wonderful, I am going to get myself some later this week.

Anyway, I thought the colors matched Melon Berry from Papertrey Ink, and sure enough, it did! So home I go to create my fabulous packaging from Lauren's templates.

After looking thru all the templates,(which I have them all), I decided on mixing 2 together....I used the base from "perfect matchbox" and the wrap from "Lolli-pop Along". I think it turned out great! I can't believe I already have my Mothers Day gift done! Wow!

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!

The recipe:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink, Mother, Polka Dot Basics
Paper: Papertrey Ink, Melon Berry, white
Ribbon: Papertrey Ink, Melon Berry
Misc: Prisma flowers, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, SU scallop punch

My Time Saturday Sketch Challenge

I am back to my sketch challenges....I have been gone for a while, busy with work....Here is my card for Lauren's, My Time Saturday Sketch Challenge http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/.
This was a really fun card to make. I have been wanting to use that watering can from PaperTrey Ink for quite a while and finally spent some time playing with it.
I use the words from Mega Mixed Messages to create my own backround paper and cut it into a square using the Nestabilities square. I really like using the Papertrey stamps to make backround paper....it really is prettier than the picture shows. I also mixed the Ripe Avocado and the New Leaf ink to create a darker leaf on the watering can so it would show up and look more dimensional.
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for looking.
The recipe:
stamps: Papertrey Ink: Green Thumb, Wishing You, and Mega Mixed Messages
paper: Papertrey Ink: New Leaf, Vintage Cream, Melon Berry, dp: unknown
Ink: Papertrey Ink: New Leaf, Melon Berry, Summer Sunrise, True Black, and Rip Avacado
ribbon: Papertrey Ink: New Leaf Button: Papertrey Ink: Melon Berry
misc: Nestabilities circle, scallop circle and square

Baby Shower gifts, again.....

Well, I am off to another baby shower..this time a boy! I had a lot of fun putting together the diaper cake and gift bag for this shower! I was totally inspired by Niki Estes baby card on her site, and expanded it to make the gift bag and diaper cake...so it all matches! I just love when everything matches! Take a look....

I stamped all the paper with Papertrey Ink stamps....I just love making my own backround paper! and I am so happy I saw the original card on Niki's site! If you haven't visited her site, you should....heres the linkhttp://nikiestes.typepad.com/my_paper_creations/.

Here are a few close ups of the finished items.....let me know what you think! Thanks for looking!
