Project Tuesday - Fries Box

Hi Crafters! Today is Tuesday, so that means it's Project Tuesday at Stamps and Smiles!

This week's project is a very simple one, but cute! I needed to make up some treat boxes for this weekend's 4th of July party we are throwing and these will work perfect!

These are really easy to make, you can find the template at Project Tuesday (link above). For my fry box, I cut out on blue cardstock and ran the front of the box thru my Cuttlebug with the "stars" embossing folder. I then lightly brushed some white ink over the top of the embossed stars. I added a gingham red bow around the center of the box and then using my "Let Freedom Ring" stamps from PTI, created the little tag at the top.

I let my grandchildren vote on what I should put into the box, and they all voted on pretzels! They each want one filled with pretzels now!

Thanks for stopping by today and if you have time, stop by Project Tuesday and check out the other design team members samples and while you are there play along! We would love to see what you create!

Have a wonderful day!

Sketch Challenge - Peachy Keen Stamps

Hi Crafters! I am so excited to be playing along with the Peachy Keen Challenge this week! I pulled out my super cute Peachy Keen stamps and colored up this little Angel bear!

Isn't he cute!!!!! Holding on to his little blankie! Reminds me of my grandson!

For my card, I am using Cosmo Cricket paper and kraft cardstock. I cut a scallop out of the paper using my scallop nestie and then used the circle nestie to cut around the Angel Bear. I added a few buttons from my stash and the sentiment is from PTI "Mega Mixed Messages" and of course I added some little squiggles with a black gel pen and some highlights on the bear with a white gel pen.

Thanks Kathy for such a cute sketch challenge!!!!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Video Series Episode 1 - So Cute

Hi Crafters! I have some exciting news to share today! I am starting a weekly video series, right here...on my blog! I will be creating cards, layouts, 3-d items, altered items or just about anything I can create with my Cricut and Gypsy.

Some of my ideas will come from other fabulous cricut users that I find out in the blog world and some will be my own. I will make sure I give credit to the fabulous cricut users when I am using their ideas! You know, we just can't think of all the good stuff on our own!!! We need LOTS of inspiration!

So today, I am kicking off the video series with a layout of this super cute little ladybug from the Walk in My Garden cartridge and a few others. I originally saw this idea at "My Creative Time with Emma" site which you can find here. If you haven't seen Emma's site, you really should stop by and check it out! She is just so creative and I have really learned a lot from her!

As you can see, I added a little extra "bling" on the layout after I finished filming...these are super simple flowers that I will do another video on very soon.

I hope you enjoy this video series and you can pick up a few new ideas and pass them along to your followers too!

Here is the gypsy file for those of you would like to download it to your gypsyHere

Don't Feed the Animals

Hi Crafters! Well, I had intended to have this layout completed a week ago to enter it into My Creative Time with Emma's Thursday Throw back challenge...but I just didn't get it completed in time.
So, Here it is!

This was a super fun page to create. I used the Animal Kingdom cartridge to cut out those really cute little animals! I used the Everyday Paperdolls to create the iron rail fence...for this I used by Gypsy and the baby bed cut. I copied the bed 4 times and then welded it together and then cut it out of black cardstock to create the iron rail fence! Neat Hugh?

The words I cut using the Robotz cartridge! I really LOVE this font! It is sooooo easy to work with and it has a shadow!!!!! I welded the words together on my Gypsy and then welded the shadow together.

Well, I'm off to create more layouts!!!! I have a special announcement on Saturday...so check back.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Project Tuesday - Glitter window

Hi Crafters! Today is a new project at Project Tuesday

We are making a card with a glitter window! I hadn't seen this before, and found it quite interesting.

For my card, I used my Gypsy to design this card. I used a border from "Holiday Cakes" cart and welded it to a rectangle from George and Basics shapes to create the layer with the flowers cut out. Then added yellow glitter to the cut out sections, per the directions for the project this week.

The stamped image is from "Wishing You" from PTI as well as the ribbon.

This was a fun technique to try! Besure to stop by Project Tuesday and check out the other design team members projects this week, and while you are there link up your project so we can all take a peek at what you create!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Baby gift bag - B is for Boy

Hi Crafters! Well, I am on my way out the door to a baby shower for my niece and I wanted to post this picture before I left...I made this baby gift bag using the B is for Boy Cricut Lite cart! When I purchased it I thought I would only use it for boys, but as you can see...it will work for a little girl also!

I cut the onsie a 5 1/2 inches as well as the layering piece and the words. The paper is from HL The Paper Studio, and the gift bag is premaid. I did design the 2 larger pieces of the background on my Gypsy using the New Arrival cart. I enlarged each piece to fit the front of the bag.

I have a few other items to post, as I have been busy sewing and creating this week, I will get those up shortly. Also, sorry about the quality of the picture...I took this in my dining room..not the best place.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your Sunday!

Dairy Farm layout

Hi Crafters! I have been busy sewing this week! I am on vacation from my "day" job and I have been trying to catch up on all my sewing projects that I have neglected over the past few months.

But I do have a layout to share. This is my grandson Coy going on a field trip to a local Dairy Farm. This was a really fun layout to design on my Gypsy. I am using cuts from Everyday Paperdolls and Animal Kingdom. I used the new Hide Contour feature on my gypsy to create some of the layers, since the Everyday Paperdolls cart doesn't have a layer feature for some of the cuts.

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Kindergarten graduation layout

Hi crafters! Here is a scrapbook layout of my grandson's kindergarten graduation!

For this layout, I used my gypsy (of course) I welded together the apple border from the Doodlecharms cart to create the apple border at the top and bottom of the page. Since the border is only 3 apples, I copied it 2 times and welded them together to make the 12 inch length across the page.

The glue bottle, scissors pencil and title are from Locker Talk cartridge. I just recently got this cartridge and I have to say I really LOVE it! I really do believe some of the older carts are truly super....

My little grandson was so proud that day! I he was just thrilled that I created this layout for him.

Well, thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

New Sketch Challenge - OCC

Hi Crafters! Well, today is Thursday...which means we have a new sketch challenge over at the OCC Sketch Challenge!

I haven't played along in a few weeks...so I am super excited to have a card for you today!

I decided to pull out my Magnolia stamps! I haven't used these in quite a while...and I miss them!

I colored this cutie with my Copics....and added the bench she is sitting on using the "masking" technique and the Wood grain stamp set from PTI.
I created the paper on the bottom of the card, I tried to make it appear to be water...I didn't do that great of a job..but you get the idea. For the yellow portion of the card, I ran that thru my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder, I think it is "mesh". The ribbon is from PTI as well as the cardstock.
If you have some time today, please stop by the OCC and take a peek at the other design team members cards, they are sooooo cute this week! And while you are there, play along! We would love to see what you create!
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Project Tuesday - Luminary

Hi Crafters!!!! Wow, I feel like it has been forever since I have posted!!!!

Today at Project Tuesday we are making a luminary!

This was such a fun project!!!!

For my project I am using some paper I had in my stash and some Prima flowers. I followed the tutorial over at Project Tuesday to create the luminary. For the Prima flowers, I added clear embossing powder on each one and heat set it with my heat gun for a very shiny finish on the flowers. I added some pearl brads and some leaves to finish off the project. For the top of the luminary, I punched some coordinating paper with a MS border punch and adhered it to the top of the luminary with adhesive.

This is sooooo pretty with a tea light inside. For safety, I will be using a battery operated tea light.

Make sure you stop by Project Tuesday this week and checkout the other Design team members projects! And while you are there, play along we would love to see what you create!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!
