New Challenge at the OCC!

Happy Sunday everyone, I am so sorry....I didn't get my post uploaded to publish on Saturday for the new OCC challenge! We have been very busy here for the daughter is going home today after a fun filled week....but I did want to make sure my post is loaded for today...

This week's challenge a the OCC is to create a card or project with FOOD in mind.

For my card, I started off with paper from from a "Sweets Treat" paper pad, it has glitter already embedded in the paper and it really looks like a lot of layers...which made this card simple easy to make..I then used my PTI stamps, Button Bits.....I saw a really neat technique on another site to make your own I gave it a try. I used some round clear epoxy stickers I had in my stash and punched circles about the same size....then adhered the clear epoxy sticker to the circle. Then I used a hole punch to punch two small holes in the epoxy sticker to create the button. I really like how they turned out...I will be doing this technique again.

I then used my Nestabilities to cut out the circle and the scallop and did a quick zig-zag stitch around the circle to complete it.

Make sure you stop by the OCC and check out the other design team members cards, they are really great!

I sure hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!
