Oh, what a cute sketch challenge this week at Stamps and Smiles!

Isn't that a cute little cupcake! This card was super easy to make, I used some designer paper I had in my stash, it had a cute little scallop border on the side, so I didn't have to add anything to the card for extra embellishment! I used SU paper and ribbon for the bow.

Now, you all will want to check out Stamps and Smiles next week, starting Monday. Stamps and Smiles will be having some really fun activities during the week to celebrate their new fall/winter stamp release! I will have some really cute samples for you during the week as well as our fantastic design team, there will be some games and prizes and a fun blog hop at the end of the week.

Project Tuesday - Halloween Smores

Hi there! It is Project Tuesday time! and boy do we have a "yummy" project this week! We are making Halloween Smores in a jar!

You will find the complete details over at Project Tuesday. The jar recipe and the cooking recipe and some really super samples by the PT DT!
For my jar I decided to decorate the lid. I cut the pumpkin on my Cricut using the EDPP cart, stamped the circle image using PTI Spooky Sweets and the scallops are my Nesties. I also stamped the black ribbon around the jar with white Stazon ink that says "best if eaten before October 31st", but I don't think it shows up very well in the pictures.
The tag on the jar was also cut with my Cricut. I typed out the cooking recipe on the computer using a Becky Higgins font and then cut it using the tag feature on the Joys of the Season cart using the centerpoint function.
I am so happy with the results of this project! I am going to give these out to my grandchildren for halloween instead of candy this year!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Our Creative Corner Monochromatic Challenge

Happy Saturday! Today over at the OCC we will be making monochromatic cards!

You can incorporate as many colors of one shade into your card as you would like. You can also use neutrals (white, cream, kraft or black).

I decided to use SU ink, Really Rust and create my own background paper using several different stamps from PTI. I stamped "off" on some of the images to create a lighter shade of the color. I added a row of rhinestones around the sentiment to set it off! This was a fun challenge!

Besure to jump on over to the OCC and play along with us this week!

Have a great weekend!

Stamps and Smiles Challenge 34

Wow! What a morning! I just ordered my Gypsy from HSN this morning! They are offering 5 flex payments of 59.99! How could I pass that up?

Today is also a new sketch challenge from Stamps and Smiles and it is a really good one!

I used a my Cricut to cut the card shape, I used the Wild Card cart. I just love this card shape! It also has a matching envelope!

I used Bo Bunny paper and SU Chocolate chip cardstock. That super cute little tag is from Tim Holtz's line. It is a clear acrylic tag, I stamped "Hello" on cardstock, glued the tag on top with a clear drying glue and cut around the tag! These are really fun to play with. The package came with 45 different size tags...so I am off to play a little more with those!

Please be sure to hop on over to Stamps and Smiles and play along with us this week! Be sure to link up your card to Mr. Linky so we can all take a peek!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! Here is my card for the sketch challenge over at Stamps and Smiles

This week, the sketch is really super cute! I just had to use my new Core'nations cardstock! I embossed the brown cardstock with a heart folder, and then used a sanding block to sand the top of the embossed image. With this cardstock, when you do that, the lighter color shows thru...it really is fun to do!

I used my cricut to cut the circles and the scallops and then embossed the white circle with the dots embossing folder. Isn't Cuppy cute? On the cookie I added the SU crystal effects on the chips in the cookie so they would stand out!

Besure and jump on over to Stamps and Smiles this week and play along with us! Besure to link up your card to Mr. Linky so we can all see what you create!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Project Tuesday - Birthday Book

Hi everyone! Its' Project Tuesday time over at Stamps and Smiles!

This weeks project is a Birthday Book! What a great idea! I needed a birthday reminder book, and this one is just perfect!

My husband has 11 brothers and sisters...so we are always having a birthday! So this will really help me remember to send cards out! Since I have so many to send!

Here's the inside of the book

For the cover, I used an old cereal box for the cardboard front and back cover. I then covered the cardboard with PTI paper and used my binder system to bind the book.
The "dates to remember" I printed out on my computer and used a PTI stamp to add the flourishes on each side. The beautiful flower image is also from PTI.
On the inside of the book, I just cut a strip of designer paper themed for that month and added to each page.
I hope you will join us this week with this really fun project. Please be sure to link up your project to Mr. Linky so we can all see your project!
Thanks for looking, and have a wonderful day!

Cricut card - Home Decor cart

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I am posting a card I made using my Cricut cart Home Decor.

I have been looking at this cart from sometime now trying to figure out what cuts I could use on a card front.

After I found this really super cardstock Core'dinations Black Magic, the idea came to me....

That little bird would be sooo cute on a card!

And if you haven't heard of this paper or tried it yet, you are really missing out on something! This cardstock is black on one side and a color on the other...So this piece I used was black on one side and pink on the other.

So you might say, whats the big deal about that...well, just run that paper thru your cuttlebug embossing folders and you will just be amazed! I don't know the name of this embossing folder, but it has the flourishes and birds on it. Then after your emboss it, take a sanding block and just sand a bit and the color on the back shows thru! How clever is that!!!

I then stamped some flourishes from PTI onto the circle and then mounted it onto a scallop circle. I added a little rhinestone for the birds eye, not sure if you can see that.

I really like how this turned out, I will definitely be on the lookout for more Core'dinations cardstock!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Happy Fall Y'all at the OCC

Edit:
I have a had a few folks ask me what I used to sparkle up the pumpkins. Believe it or not, it is just "Stickles" I found some orange stickles and put it on very thin...and it turned out great! thanks for all the great comments!!!!

Happy Saturday everyone! This week at the Our Creative Corner the challenge is to create a card using the theme of "Happy Fall Y'all".

I used PTI stamp set Fall Elegance to stamp the background paper and the 2 pumpkin images. The paper is also from PTI, Melon Berry as well as the ribbon and buttons.

I used my Cricut to cut the circles and the scallop the pumpkins are stamped in.

Make sure you jump on over to the OCC and take a look at the other DT's cards! They are soooo cute this week!

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

Wild Card cart - Owl

Happy Friday!!! Well, it is now official!!! I am completely obsessed with the Cricut!!!

After creating the card a few days ago with the Wild Cart cart, I decided to continue reviewing the cart for other hidden treasures!

I really like the owl card on the cart, but didn't want to make a card in the owl shape..so I started playing around with the cuts and came up with this little cute owl cut at 1 3/4 inches, I removed the back portion of the card, so it would just be an embellishment.

What do you think?

I used the same layout design from my previous post, using the super cute Cosmo Cricket paper on this one also.

The tree is from Stretch Your Imagination cart, instead of using the apples, I wanted to use buttons....

I am having so much fun with the Cricut...I am dreaming about cuts at night!!!! I think I am in real trouble!!!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Cricut card - Wild Card

Hi everyone....today I have been busy reviewing the Cricut Wild Card cart! I am determined to make something with this cart! I have seen such super cute cards on the Cricut MB and other sites...that I just had to give it a go!

Now, the idea for this card I scraplifted from Debbie Olson, she creates the most awesome cards!!!!! I just adore her work!

So when I saw her card, I thought...I can make this with my Cricut...I just need to find the right cart...and I just purchased that super cute paper from Cosmo Cricket just a few days ago...so I was certain I could figure this out!

So off I went reviewing each cart until I found this tree on the Wild Card cart....it just worked perfectly!

So, on the Wild Cart cart I used the Argyle card, using the Blackout feature at 5 1/2 for the card base. Then I added the Cosmo Cricket designer paper to the front, and used the extra piece that cuts out on the card as the joining piece.

The tree is also from the Wild Cart cart, from the Booklet card, using the Icon feature cut at 5 1/2. I shadowed the leaves on the tree with some chalk to give some dimension and also on the tree trunk...

Then I needed something to mount the tree on, so off to find another cart that would work...after watching my friend Mary at CardTV I decided to look at the Stretch Your Imagination cart.

I used the Flrsh4 item, using the blackout feature to cut out the 2 shapes one at 4 3/4 and the 2nd at 4 1/4, to mount the tree on. I also used this cut at 1 3/4 to stamp the sentiment on.

I just love this card!!! and I hope you do too!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

For this card, I used PTI and Bazzel cardstock. The Sentiment is from a dollar stamp I purchased from JoAnns sometime ago and the cute little bat is a stamp from Judith's stamps.

So I hope you will jump on over to the Stamps and Smiles site and play along with us this week! Make sure you link up your card to Mr. Linky so we can all see what you create!!!

Flower Pot Project - Stamps and Smiles

Hi everyone, I hope you had a very nice and relaxing holiday weekend! Back to work we go today.....and today is Tuesday....Project Tuesday time!

This week we are making this really cute flower pot container! It is super easy to make and turns out super cute!!!!I decided to make mine for Halloween, my daughter is a room mother this year for her son's 1st grade class...and wouldn't this just make the neatest candy container to give each child in his class!

The paper is some Halloween paper I had in my stash from years ago, so I don't know who it is from, and the little pumpkins were cut with my cricut using the Stretch your imagination cart. I shadowed the pumpkins with some chalk and added a few buttons on the corners of the flower pot for some interest.

Then....for the treat! I popped some popcorn and drizzled melted chocolate and orange candy wafers on it. It is really cute, and it tastes a bit like a popcorn ball without all the mess!

I tied up the bag with some Halloween ribbon and added a little trick or treat charm to the bow.

I sure hope you jump on over to Stamps and Smiles and join in on the fun this week.

Be sure to link up your project to Mr. Linky so we can all take a peek at what you create!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Treat or Treat card

Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone is enjoying the extra day off!! I know I am!

This card I made the other day...just playing around with a new dollar stamp I purchased at JoAnn's. I thought it was a super cute stamp....Reminded me of my children when they were little using these little pumpkins as their candy container when we went trick or treating.

The paper I used from my stash and the trick or treat sentiment I punched out of a piece of paper from stash.

Thanks for looking and have a really fun holiday!

I have a wonderful announcement today! I have been selected to be part of the Our Creative Corner design team! I am jumping up and down in the air right now, I am so excited!!!!

There are 11 other ladies on this Design Team, and let me tell you they are super fantastic! I am honored to be part of this team!!!! Each Saturday, there will be a new challenge..it might be a sketch challenge, inspiration challenge or something else..but it sure to be a fun time!

So..on to the challenge....This week we are to create a project/card with "stripes and stars" to celebrate the Labor Day weekend!

So, I designed this really super cute box to put the baby sweater I have been knitting for my great niece! I don't know if you remember, but a few weeks ago I posted the baby card I had made for her, and I mentioned I would be posting some of the other items I had been making for my gift to her...well, this little sweater is one of the gifts.....I will have something else very soon...

Isn't it sweet! So I just had to have a box just as sweet to put it in!

The box was cut with my Cricut ( I am in love with this thing!) and I stamped the background paper with PTI's Let Freedom Ring set. The baby carriage is from PTI's Bitty Blessings and so is the sentiment. The round scallops were cut with my Cricut..and the others are my Nestibilities Labels die. The ribbon is some I just had in my stash, so I don't know who it is from.. I am thinking it is from SU...but I'm not sure.

Please jump on over to Our Creative Corner and check out the other DT's samples this week, they are really awesome!!! If you decide to play along, please link up your project to Mr. Linky so we can all take a look at what you create!

This week, we have a really fun sketch! I decided to use my Cricut and cut these really cute snowflakes! They are from the new cart Winter Woodland. If you have a Cricut, this is a really neat cart to get! It has a lot of really cute cuts!

I colored Cuppy in an icy blue, and added her little snow boots! Isn't she cute!!! Each of the snowflakes has glitter and a dew drop in the center. I used SU Bashful Blue CS and used my snowflake Cuttlebug folder to emboss the snowflakes on the base of the card.
