Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday!

Wow! What a weekend! I am finally getting back to normal....we spent the holiday weekend at the lake with my husbands family! I also drove an extra 2 hours to pick up my grandson...I am on vacation for the next 2 weeks and I wanted to spend some time with him! I miss him since they moved 2 hours away!

And I hope you didn't miss the fantastic "Oh say can you see Blog Hop" from SNU Card Universe! It was super fantastic!!! A lot of incredible projects and cards to view....see my post below this one for all the details....

Ok, now back to the project! This was a super easy project put together by our own Vickilyn!

This is a bag tag!

I decided I needed a super cute tag for my laptop brief case and this worked perfectly!

I could also see this as a luggage tag, so when you travel you would have an easy way to find your luggage. I may be working on another one very soon.

Please pop on over to Stamps and Smiles Project Tuesday and join in on the fun!

Make sure you use Mr. Linky and show us your work! We would love to see what you come up with....

Have a wonderful day!

Oh Say Can you See 4th of July Blog Hop

Happy 4th of July!!!!

I am so glad you could join the SNR Card Universe Blog Hop!!!!! If you are coming from Mindys blog then you are on the right track....if not, you may want to hop on over to SNR Card Universe and start at the beginning of the fun! You won't want to miss one minute of this exciting blog hop!

My entry for the blog hop is this super cute picnic basket! The template is from Lauren Meader, she has designed the template for Papertrey Ink and is for sale on their site! It is super easy to put together and really fun to embellish.

We are visiting my brother in law and his wife this 4th of July weekend at the lake, and I wanted to bring a thank you gift to my sister in law for putting us up for the weekend.

The basket contains 2 kitchen towels...so this wasn't an expensive gift at all!

The Recipe:
Stamps: PTI Vintage baskets
Template: Picnic basket from PTI
Paper: PTI kraft cardstock, Pure Poppy and SU Brilliant Blue
Misc: PTI Pure Poppy ribbon, crochet flower (I made) and clothes pin and button

This week at SNR Universe holiday challenges we were challenged to create a holiday card using bells. The bells could be on the paper, used in a stamp or actual bells on the card.

Well, I discovered I didn't have anything with bells....so a trip to Hobby Lobby was in order! Of course, Hobby Lobby already has most of their Christmas items out on display ....so it was easy to find these cute little bells.

I decided to use a new Magnoila stamp I just purchased, Santa...I love him! I don't think I have seen a Magnoila stamp I don't love!

If you are interested in getting a head start on your christmas cards, hop on over to SNR Card Universe Holidy Challenge and join us in the weekly challenges. You will have your christmas cards completed in no time!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge!

I have found a new challenge site and stamp company to purchase the cutiest stamps from!
Peachy Keen stamps

The little boy with the surf board on my previous post was from Peachy Keen Stamps, and you will be seeing a few more, as they are just the cutiest..did I say that already?

This week at the Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge site, they had a sketch challenge, so this is my take on their challenge. I really like how it turned out!

I used my Big Shot to cut out the rustic hearts, and I hand stitched them to the card so they would match the hearts on the bear's blanket.

Hope you enjoy, and thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great day!

Sweet sketch from the Pink Elephant

Happy Wednesday folks!
Today I am posting my take on the sketch from The Pink Elephant. What a sweet sketch! I just had to use my new Karen Lockhart stamp I found down at a quant little stamping store in Old Town St. Charles. I about fell over, when I saw this stamp was on sale at this shop...so of course, I had to purchase it! I had been eyeing it on line for some time...It was really easy to color using my Copics...I was a little concerned as I hadn't done anything so detailed before...but it was really easy.

Hope you enjoy and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Stamps: Karen Lockhart, PTI for sentiment
