New Sketch Challenge - OCC

Hi Crafters! Today there is a new sketch at the OCC Sketch Challenge Blog

For my card this week, I am using October Afternoon designer paper, and the new Cherry Cobbler card stock from SU. I cut the strawberries from the cartridge "Preserves" with my Cricut. I cut those at 2 1/4 inches. I ran the strawberries thru my Cuttlebug using the swiss dots embossing folder and added some highlights with a white gel pen.
The ribbon is from PTI and as well as the button and the sentiment.
If you have a moment today, besure to stop the the OCC and check out the other design team members cards, they are really awesome!

Project Tuesday - gum holder

Hi Crafters! Today it's Project Tuesday!!!! Today's project is a really fun gum holder! Wouldn't this be a cute favor at a baby shower or bridal shower? Or maybe just for a small gift to a friend! This is a really cute way to dress up a pack of gum!

You can find the project instructions over at

Project Tuesday.

I have also created this gum holder using my gypsy and cut on my Cricut. As soon as I can get my personal laptop up and running again...I will upload the gypsy file for those that are interested. It really made this project a quick one and easy to make several.

I am using a Peachy Keen stamp for my project today, and I colored in the image with Copic markers.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Eposide 6 - Cupcake Slider card

Hi Crafters! Today's card is soooo super cute! I needed to come up with a birthday card for my grandaughter and she just loves cupcakes...so I came up with this idea to make a slider card using the cupcake image from the Sweet Treats cartridge.

Unfortantly, my personal laptop came down with the flu this week, and I am not able to upload any gypsy files today. As soon as my laptop feels better, I will post the file.

Here is a picture of the final card! I love how this turned out, I am going to try this technique on a few other images I have in mind...you will probably see more of this in the future.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Have a wonderful day!

Project Tuesday - Easel Card

Hi Crafters! Today is Tuesday!!!! You know what that means! A new project at Project Tuesday!

This week we are making an Easel Card! These are really fun and easy to make!

After going thru my card stash, I noticed I really am lacking on Sympathy cards. So I decided to make one for this project challenge.

I am using a new stamp set from Inkadinkado called Spiritual Sketches. I am using PTI cardstock, Melon Berry and Lemon Tart, and SU cardstock Mellow Moss. The designer paper is from PTI Green Tea Leaves.

The flower I colored with Copic marker R02 to match the Melon Berry cardstock. I added some wire gold twine and matching ribbon from PTI.

You might want to stop by Project Tuesday and check out the other DT samples...and while you are there, play along! We would love to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!

Happy 4th of July!

Hi crafters, I hope you are all enjoying your holiday today! We are off to a family party and I made a few decorations for the party that I thought I would share with you.

I made the hat using Create a Critter and George and basic shapes. I scraplifted the idea from Pinkie., She made a card and I thought it would make a super cute centerpiece. So I cut the hat as large as I could fit on the 12x12 mat and added a couple of tabs on the back so it could hook around the star spray I purchased. I love how it turned out!

The banner was cut from the Independence Day cartridge using the banner cut of the flag. I attached them together using twine and added the cutout stars on the twine between each banner.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you and your family have a safe and fun holiday~!

Happy 4th of July!

New Sketch Challenge - OCC Challenge Blog

Hi Crafters! Today we have a new sketch challenge over at the OCC Sketch Challenge Blog!

For my card this week, I created a very "special" card for my son. He turned 15 yesterday, and of course, had to go get his permit! So I wanted to make a card for him!

I also wanted this card to be more "manly" which I don't really do very well. But, I have to say, I think it turned out very nice! And he was soooo excited to get his permit! Now, I'm not sure I am...but he is my youngest child and I have been thru this 4 times before....I am never ready for this milestone!

Please stop by the OCC and check out the other DT's cards, they are really awesome this week! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
